Current line of Mac Hardware

So what do you think of Apples current line of hardware, and some of the
decisions that have been made with getting rid of some of the standard ports,
(Even ones that should be standard on most notebooks.)

As a LONG time Mac user, and have supported Classic and current Macs in an
enterprise enviroment, I know Apple has a history of pushing the market
forward, finnaly adopting new interface technologies. For example USB,
IEEE1394 (Firewire), Thunderbolt, and USB-C.

However I think the engineers may have gone overboard with the currently
notebook line, only providing a limmited number of USB-C ports. While I have
only used my SD CARD slot once, when I realised I forgot my cameras USB cable
at home I was glad I had decided to purchase the 2015 Macbook pro in 2018,
instead of the current model.

I held off as long as I could buying a trashcan Mac Pro, While I love the
performance, I do not like that they substituted form for functionality and
made all of my expansion options external! I loved my 2008 Cheesegrater style
Mac Pro.

I should also breifly mention the themral issues that Apple sees to be having,
while it's great they are putting the latest and greatest i9 processors in
their notebooks and Mac Mini (Which they have finally upgraded!), what is the
point of paying the price point of the i9 if it is just going to thermal
throttle when you finally throw something heavy on it.

Here are some blogs that I have written in the past about Apple and the
direction they have taken. Don't get me wrong, I prefer using Mac OS X over
Windows any day, and for my photography and video work there are still no good
alternatives to Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop! Though I would definately not
call myself an Apple Fanboy!
