I wonder why MuffinTerm is requesting your side to send echos, I also wonder why GG is the only BBS I have this problem with.

Thank you for hiding my IP. Though that is the same IP that resolves to Catracing.org.. So it would have been OK. I do however appreciate you erroring on the side of caution.

That is pretty typical, it basically means that your terminal will not display to you any of the characters you type - it is up to the other end (the BBS in this case) to 'echo' characters typed back to you. That way, among other things, the BBS can display *** as you type your password instead of the actual letters being typed, etc.
