OS X High Sierra

Post by hendrb01 »

Playing around with OS X High Sierra Beta on a VMWare Fusion VM.

So far the only issue I have seen is a page rendering problem with the site states module in the Wordpress Admin dashboard.
I have reported the issue to Apple.

Here are the screen shots, top is the rendering under Sierra which displays correctly. The bottom is the rendering under High Sierra.

I am having to reinstall High Sierra Beta, as the lasted update rendered it unable to boot.

3 updates in, and the Safari rendering issue has not been addressed. Hopefully this will get taken care of before release.

Interestingly enough, the issue with the web page rendering does not happen on my MacBook Pro. So I wonder what is causing it to happen in the virtual environment. This weekend I think I will try reinstalling it from scratch and see if the issue can be duplicated.

I should also try it in Parallels, perhaps it is only going to happen in VMware fusion?

Just tested the Homebrew repository, and it does install correctly on High Sierra.
