Wow!! After over 2 months of waiting, I never thought this issue was ever going to get fixed!
I first posted about it on my blog back in in April.

It looks like it got fixed relatively quickly in Ubuntu, but was not released in the CENTOS 7 REPO until the 25th of June!
Other users of CentOS reported that using Winbind solved the authentication issue for them, however I have been running Windbind from day one, so that was a non starter for me. As I detailed in my blog my only recourse was to revert back to the old version of SAMBA, and deal with the potential of the BADLOCK vulnerability being exploited. Fortunately nothing bad happened to the server.
I am pleased to report that I have installed SAMBA Client 4.2.10-6.2.el7_2 on both my development boxes and the production server, and AD authentication is working flawlessly!
