Go Pro Hero 4 Pairing woes

So I bought a Go Pro Hero 4, and always seem to have problems with the device pairing to my iPhone.

When it has already been successfully paired, after not being used for awhile and is pulled out of the bad, it seems to lose pairing.
It is like pulling teeth from a cat trying to get it paired again.

So far I have found that you need to go into your Wi-Fi devices and clear the settings, as well as go into the Bluetooth Settings and make sure to forget the previous Bluetooth pairing.

Otherwise you will end up always receiving an Invalid Code message when trying to pair it again, even though you know you are entering the PIN successfully.

Now if I can just figure out how to keep the device successfully paired to begin with so I don't have to go through this every time!
