If you are looking for a good first indirect heat recipe I highly recommend giving this Burgundy Tri-Trip a try!<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>3 -5 lb Tri-Tip or substitute with a sirloin roast (I used Picahna).&nbsp; If you plan ahead you can order form <span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><a style=\"color: #33cccc;\" href=\"https:\/\/wildforkfoods.com\/\">https:\/\/wildforkfoods.com\/<\/a>&nbsp;<\/span> which is where I will try to get mine next time.<br \/>\n2 Cups Pinot Noir<br \/>\n\u00bc Cup olive oil<br \/>\n\u00bd cup low sodium tamari<br \/>\n2 tsp Maggi sauce<br \/>\n3 tsp Honey<br \/>\n4 garlic cloves, minced<br \/>\n1 Tbl cracked black pepper<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Preparation \u2013<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6379\" src=\"https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Prepped-Tri-Tip-Paired-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trim the tri-tip of excess fat ( The picahna had a large fat cap. ).<br \/>\nAdd all of the marinade ingredients into a zip lock bag with the tri-tip.<br \/>\nPress out as much air as possible.<br \/>\nSeal the plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for a preferably &nbsp;for 24 hours, a minimum of 3.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&nbsp;Grilling Directions &#8211;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When it is time to grill, set your grill up for indirect heat, and preheat the grill to 250 deg. F.<br \/>\nPlace the tri-tip on the indirect heat side, and grill until the internal temperature reaches 120 def F (approx. 1 \u2013 2-hours.).&nbsp; It took me 1 hour.<br \/>\nMove the tri-tip to the direct heat side, and grill until the you get a nice char, and the internal temp reaches 130 deg F.<br \/>\nRemove the tri-tip from the grill, lightly cover with foil and let rest 15 \u2013 20 minutes. temp should be 135 \u2013 140 deg F for medium rare.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.catracing.org\/hendrb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Searing-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
