'bows subboard'
'when doing'
'filler (---)'
Also I know of RUN and RUNA (thanks dotoran) but is there a way to
randomly load any file (say systext:sys.welcome) into the Visual Editor.
Do I need to add it as a sysop only gfile and edit it that way or
something?
BOWS subboard: "Base 0 (That is a 0 not an O.. Not trying to be a jerk, I
just come from the days when that actually mattered.. LOL).. Web Server (Could
be wrong on what the S stands for.). It was a system Zen Metal Software
developed to allow web based access to the message bases. I do not think that
was included in the licensing / software that KGUIDE purchased. That is
something Ray Akey kept a hold of. So USELESS unles KGuide can reverse
engineer it.
'When doing' Is a Free Text field that will display to other users when they
do a (W)ho.. So if you put up a cat feeding simulation Pfile you can have it
say "Feeding The Cat's" or if you have using my AR Newsline text file as an
example. I can make it say "Reading NewsLine" if someone does a W command.
LOL. I think it is 'Filter' not filler, but don't quote me, I may be having
one of those "Senior" moments. but the best example I can give, is you know
when you do an S in a message or UD area, and you see the (---) field either
to the left or between the number of the base and the area name? You can
customize what that is.. (Going by memory), and it could look slightly
different...........
1) (FDO) Fido Blah blah Echo 2) (RTN) Retronet BLAH BLAH
2) (LOC) Rat's Den Local BLAH BLAH Too lazy to replicate more....
You can put any 3 character abv to denote anything you want, in this example I
use it to let users know the message base is networking and what network the
message bases are a part of... FDO for FIDO, RTN for Retro Net, LOC for
Local..
Hope this helps any new SysOps that might have similar questions.
