In my latest blog "Korean Movie Review: What A Man Wants" http://www.catracing.org/hendrb/korean- ... -바람-바람-바람/, I recommend a recent movie by Byeong-heon Lee.
I encourage the viewers of Brent's World to register on the forums to discuss the blogs, and in this case encourage it.
What did you all think about What A Man Wants? As the film is one of the few pieces of Asian cinema that seems to wrap up with a happy ending, I felt like the biggest joke was left unsaid and that not everyone was going to live happily ever after.
Perhaps I am becoming a dirty old man, but did anyone else wonder if Mi Young got pregnant by the chef she was having an affair with, and not by Bong-Soo? She seemed to be the only one to have gotten away with being unfaithful, but was that going to soon unravel on her?
Usually in Asian cinema there is no happy ending, and everyone seems to be negatively affected by their own poor choices, or the poor choices of those around them.
Did anyone else think there were more surprises in store for these people when the film ended?
