Trying to get a couple more finishing pictures for my blog, I went to the city of Del Mar to try and capture the Pacific Surfliner train that brought me down from Los Angeles. I arrived at least 50 minutes early and found the spot and framing that I wanted. I even used the Northbound Pacific Surfliner and one of the south bound commuter trains (The Coaster) so make sure I had everything set!

There is NOTHING wrong with that picture, So what do I do when the train I have been waiting for all this time shows up? I get nervous and second guess myself, move the tripod to make sure the train is in focus, and totally screw up the framing!

It's not a BAD picture, though I completely changed the crop and removed the coastline from the background, which was the whole purpose of the picture!

By the time I noticed this and corrected, it was too late, though I guess I could have just tried zooming out!

So lesson learned, once you are pretty sure you have the picture, unless you REALLY REALLY have to. Don't change anything!
