It’s so nice to live so close to so many good restaurants, like the restaurant row by Samgakji Station. Our only problem is that as soon as we find what we think is the perfect BBQ restaurant. We try a different restaurant and again proclaim, this is the best BBQ!
This is what happened to us one Sunday when Hong Chong Bulgolgi was closed, that Mi Jung picked this little BBQ place to try. At first looks I was not impressed, as the table BBQs are gas fed. However diving into the food dispelled any feelings of doubt that we had once again found the BEST BBQ restaurant on the strip!
Now don’t get me wrong! Hong Chong Bulgolgi wins hands down if you want duruchegae, however the service, side dishes, and pork rib meat that just melts in your mouth will make you think you have died and gone to heaven. I also really like the side dishes this restaurant provides. There is a coleslaw type salad with a sweet dressing, and another spicy onion side dish that goes great with the BBQ meat. Also seen here are sliced onions in a sweet marinade.
The owners are extremely friendly, and will do the BBQing for you, so you can sit and relax while the food is being prepared. Something that is not too common in Korea. For larger groups there is a party room available upstairs for reservation.
If you are looking for a relaxing night out, after work. Head on down to Gueimadang BBQ! Please let me know that you heard about them from Brent’s World! We highly recommend the Samgopseol, and Pork Ribs!
